Saturday April 7 - Post Surgery

The surgery yesterday took 8 1/2 hours. Allison was a total trooper, and the surgeon said there were no complications. The preliminary report is that they were able to remove all of the tumor successfully. They think the type of tumor is a medullablastoma which is fortunately a treatable form of cancer. Until the pathology report comes back (approx. at the end of the week), we won't know the course of treatment she will need to follow. Allison, Dianna, Brian and Bunny spent the night in the ICU, and we think that she will be able to return to her hospital room at some point today. Dianna, Brian and Emily are so thankful for all of your support and prayers. We will keep you updated on Allison's recovery! - Marcy (Dianna's sister)

Thank you, Darcy, for putting together such a beautiful website. I really appreciate being able to be kept apprised of Allison's progress. I am encouraged by the news of the type of tumor and that they believe the whole thing was removed. I can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster the whole family has been on, on so many levels. Our love and prayers are with them. I am holding a vision of Allison in a protective bubble of white, healing, whole light and know that her body is healing itself right now. We will look forward to helping with meals and any other needs deemed necessary.

Hi Dianna, I found out about your challenge with Allison today at a meeting with Lisa at CDOT. My heart goes out to you. You'll all get through this. Life's journeys aren't always smooth, but they do stretch you and strengthen you. When I found out I had cancer (11 years ago now)I felt like the bottom had dropped out of my world - - and it had. But over time, a new and better base developed and life is all the swetter fro the experience. My prayers, love and positive energy goe out to you Dianna, and to your family and especially to Allison. Sincerely, Gail Keeley
