Dear Allison,
How are you doing? Your mom and dad haven't made any posts in a long time. I hope that everything is going OK. You must be back in school now, eh?
I've been thinking about you a lot these days for two reasons.
1) My friend Fran from college was telling me about how she had cancer as a little girl and has made a website about longterm cancer survivors. I told her about you and your story and shared your blog with her, so if she ever makes a post, you'll know who she is.
2) I just saw this great movie about a little girl in the hospital called "The Fall". She learns to say "Googly googly googly go away" when she is scared and wants something to go away and not bother her. Gregor and I have started saying it a lot to Uma when she is upset and crying to help whatever is bothering her to go away. I thought that you might like to use it, too.
I'm sending you and Emily a big hug and kiss and warm greetings to your mom and dad.
I hope to read more posts from you soon. I'm curious how your summer camp went.
Lots of love,
Jana
Silly me, I forgot to post the link to Fran's website, the one with stories by and about cancer survivors.
